Tuesday 1st August

Thats us been here 6 months ! I've got my electric bills, I've got my driving license, the tax man has asked for his tax return for the year, and we've just been given our Census forms, so at least history will show we've been here.... and just the other day I got my FIRST piece of junk-mail, so that's us definitely in the Australian "system"... I am sure it will become everyday stuff, but its still good to get something in the mail, even if it is a bill, as there is still a novelty to it!

Thursday 3rd

Just finished watching "24" - the TV series / drama with Keifer Sutherland etc... It started and finished 10 mins late. A lot of programmes seem to run over and never start when they are supposed to - it makes you wonder if there is some laid back Aussie-ness still threaded through the broadcasting companies, that there's "no worries" - just take it easy, the program will come on eventually - no rush!

Monday 8th - Bank Holiday!

As a contractor, you don't get paid, so its an expensive holiday, but it was a nice 3-day weekend and a welcome break.

Tuesday 9th

Holly was sick through the night, which kept us up most of the night, so too tired to report much tonight....found a picture on a real estate website which had a nice aerial picture of where we are here, all I had to do was rub out the arrow their house for sale, and put in what I think is where our house is...
